Who are the Mad Dogs?
Mad Dogs and Englishmen Design is the creative culmination of two extraordinary lives. Founded by Peter and Cindy Lorimer, the brand grew organically from Peter's career as a hit record producer — over 30 #1s on the Billboard Dance charts — through his Beverly Hills brokerage PLG Estates and a celebrated appearance on Netflix's Stay Here, where his gift for transforming spaces caught the world's attention.
“Character over Convenience”
Mad Dogs is for those who believe a room should narrate a story without explicitly announcing itself. We source, design, and curate interiors and goods that transcend mere nostalgia or fleeting trends, instead crafting something more enduring — a considered provenance, earned character, and a standard of living that demands no explanation.
Drawing inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic and Pacific, we blend the restraint and permanence of the English interior tradition with the warmth and informality that define the quintessential American home. The result is a sensibility that feels inherited rather than assembled — rooms that have always exuded their unique charm, and objects that seem to have been there all along. Quality that resonates with you before you even have the chance to name it.

See my Design Show on Netflix
Before Mad Dogs, co-founder Peter Lorimer starred in Netflix's Stay Here — joining designer Genevieve Gorder to transform ordinary properties into unforgettable spaces. The same conviction that every home deserves character now shapes everything we design, source, and curate.
